Redding residents are shaken up by a drive by shooting as police continue to search for one of the two suspects. It happened just after 9 p.m. last night in the area of West Street and Laurel Avenue. Witnesses told police a man in a white car fired several shots while driving though the neighborhood. Officers spotted the suspect vehicle on Court street and made a traffic stop. They noticed bullet casings matching the ones at the scene in the car. The driver, Cleotis Dotson, was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail for the shooting. Witnesses also saw a second person in the car at the time of the shooting. That suspect, along with the firearm, are still at large. There are no reports of injuries and police are still investigating a possible motive. Anyone with information is asked to call Redding Police.
