Redding police are investigating reports that a man tried to kidnap a woman on the Shasta College campus Monday afternoon.

The incident, which occurred near the 2400 building, is the second attempted kidnapping to be reported on the campus in the past two weeks, and the details of Monday's incident are similar to the details of the April 27 report.

School officials say a man in his 20's with dark hair and driving a dark colored Honda Sedan attempted to kidnap a student around 1:30 p.m.

On April 27, a woman told campus security she was walking on campus around 3 p.m. when a dark colored Honda Accord drove up to her and two men offered her a ride.

The men then got out of the Honda and ordered the woman into the car, she ran away and notified campus security, who called Redding Police.
