Redding police are searching for a man who robbed a local mail store Monday morning.

Officers responded to Mail Biz on Lake Boulevard for a reported armed robbery just before 11 a.m. Monday.

When they arrived, employees and customers said an armed man had entered the store demanding money.

After an employee gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, he made his way to a white four-door sedan, and fled east on Lake Boulevard before turning onto State Route Highway 273.

The robber is described as white, in his late twenties, and around six feet tall with a stocky build.

Redding police are still searching for a man who robbed the Motel 6 on Bechelli Lane on September 19, and then the Shell Gas Station on October 12. Police Sgt. Shawn McGinnis says it is unknown if the Mail Biz robbery is connected to those incidents.
