One of five men seriously burned in a hash oil explosion earlier this month has died from his injuries while being treated at U.C. Davis Medical Center.

According to the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, Paul Khamany, 33, died April 22, nine days after he and Timothy McCue, Mark Sargent, Shawn O'Neil, Sakhone Symanivong were injured when a honey oil explosion leveled a garage on the 1600 block of Green Street in Redding.

A large tub of marijuana, butane cylinders, and glass tubing - all elements of honey oil production- were found at the scene.

McCue, Sargent and Oneil have been released from the hospital, while Symanivong is still being treated for his injuries at U.C. Davis.

At this time no arrests have been made, and the fire remains under investigation. Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Shasta County Sheriff's Office at (530) 722-9161.
