Redding Police have arrested a man they say attacked and killed 25-year-old Cody Radford outside a Halloween party early Saturday morning.

According to the police department, 28-year-old Jason Lee Duff hosted the Halloween party at his home on Concord Lane in Redding Friday night.

Police responded to the home at 12:15 a.m. Saturday and found Radford lying in the road bleeding from his head. He was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses told investigators Radford was leaving the party and was knocked unconscious. A subsequent investigation determined Duff attacked Radford, who witnesses said was too intoxicated to defend himself.

Duff was arrested around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday and has been booked into the Shasta County Jail.
