One of Redding's eaglets hasn't been seen in a few days, sparking speculation the bird has left home for good.

Turtle Bay's famous eagle couple, Liberty and Spirit, successfully hatched three eggs back in March. Marking Liberty's first successful breeding season since 2012.

The missing eaglet, who has been dubbed Poppy, is 11 weeks old, and according to the Friends of the Redding Eagles it is typical for the youngest to fledge at this point.

Some eagle enthusiasts say Poppy could return for food, but it is only a matter time until Poppy, Paddy, and Pi leave home for good.
