Redding’s famous eagles, Liberty and Spirit appear to have added another egg to their nest near Turtle Bay.

According to the Friends of the Redding Eagles Facebook page, Liberty was seen with another egg in the nest just after 6:00 p.m.

While Liberty was in Labor, her mate Spirit tried to sit on a nearby perch, but because of the strong winds he found staying in one place difficult.

According to the Turtle bay website, the incubation period is 35 days and during that period the mother will spend the majority of her time in the nest, keeping the egg warm and protecting it from predators.
