The Red Cross of northern California has opened two evacuation shelters in Tehama County as residents in several low lying areas have been forced to evacuate.
Thursday's powerful storm has caused evacuations of Aloha Street and Jackson Street near Reeds Creek, and led to Red Cross officials opening shelters in Tehama County at the Veterans Memorial Hall and at the Red Bluff Community Center at 1500 S. Jackson Street.
A Red Cross center has also been set up at 1620 Solano Street in Corning.
