A Red Bluff trucker has been convicted of criminally negligent homicide and sentenced to 18 months in jail for a 2013 crash on Interstate 5 that killed an Oregon man.

The Salem Statesman Journal reports that 28-year-old Gurpinder Singh of Red Bluff was driving a commercial truck pulling a semitrailer as traffic slowed near an intersection at Aurora in northern Marion County.

The State Police said the truck drove over the top of a 1991 Acura Integra and hit the rear of another semitrailer. The driver of the car died. He was 26-year-old Dustin Paul Campbell of Lyons, along the North Santiam River.

Singh's driver's license has been revoked.

In a four-day trial that ended Thursday, he was acquitted of manslaughter.
