The Red Bluff Police Department said a SWAT situation in Red Bluff has ended peacefully after two men inside an apartment surrendered after a four hour standoff.
Red Bluff Red Bluff Police Sergeant Matt Hansen says a man called 911 at 12:30 p.m. Monday and told the dispatcher he had stabbed someone. The caller also said he was holding a person hostage at an apartment on the 1100 block of Delphinium Street in Red Bluff.
Officers knocked on the door when they arrived and made contact with two people inside the apartment who told them to leave. Due to the possibility of hostages and threats to police over the phone, the SWAT team was called.
Agents from various local law enforcement agencies along with SWAT agents swarmed the apartment around 4:30 p.m. and say the two men inside came out peacefully, and nobody inside was injured.
No arrests have been made and police do not know have a motive for the 911 call, but say whoever made the call could face charges.
