Red Bluff Police have arrested a group of people they say were involved in the manufacturing of counterfeit money and access cards.

Police began an investigation Wednesday after receiving information about counterfeit bills being passed at a business on Gilmore Road.

A tipster provided officers with information as to where the counterfeit bills were being manufactured, and that the suspect was making and using fake access cards.

On Friday, Police arrested Manuel Valencia for passing counterfeit money, burglary, and possession of altered access cards.

The next day police arrested Valencia again, Michael Moreno, Monica Souza, Jade Bunn, and Damien Jones for multiple felony charges related to manufacturing and passing forged access cards and manufacturing counterfeit money.

The suspects were using the counterfeit bills at local motels and businesses. Police located stolen property from theft reports in Red Bluff, Corning, Redding and Butte County.

All of the suspects were booked into Tehama County Jail on multiple felony charges.
