Red Bluff Police searching for robbery suspect

Red Bluff Police have arrested one suspect and are continuing to search for another man they say broke into a home on the 1100 block of Franzel Road early Tuesday morning.

According to a press release from the Red Bluff Police Department the home invasion robbery happened around 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. Officers say 27-year-old Steven Anderson and 25-year-old David Simmons broke into the home and beat up a 22-year-old man before taking his wallet.

The victim, who was alone with his wife in the residence, was beaten by the suspects with a chair and metal bar, but refused medical treatment at the scene. The man and his wife were able to identify one of the suspects as Simmons.

Officers arrested Anderson just a few hours later, and he was booked into the Tehama County Jail for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, conspiracy, and probation violation.
