Red Bluff officer receives DUI enforcement award

Members of north state law enforcement agencies met at the Red Lion Inn in Redding yesterday for the annual Law Enforcement Recognition event.

Representatives from the California Highway Patrol, Butte County agencies, Shasta County agencies, Glenn County agencies and Tehama County agencies were present for the event.

Corporal Michael Brown received the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Award for the Red Bluff Police Department. In 2013 Corporal Brown arrested 27 impaired drivers.

This is the fourth straight year Corporal Brown has received the award and he has won it the last five out of six years.

In addition to his patrol duties Corporal Brown is also a Field Training Officer and teaches and evaluates new officers in the department.

Corporal Brown patrols the streets of Red Bluff with his canine partner Many.
