Red Bluff man found guilty of premeditated murder

A Red Bluff Military veteran was found guilty today of first degree premeditated murder.

40-year-old Christopher Houghland was accused of stabbing and killing one of his friends, 28-year-old Samuel Forsyth in June of 2013.

The Tehama County Jury only deliberated for about an hour.

Houghland will be sentenced on August 20. He faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in Prison.
