Red Bluff man arrested for alleged hammer attack

A Red Bluff man was arrested this morning for allegedly attacking a man with a hammer Saturday evening.

Jeremy Hamilton, 37, of Red Bluff was arrested by Red Bluff Police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, felony battery and driving on a suspended license.

On Saturday March 29, the Red Bluff Police Department responded to St. Elizabeth Hospital regarding a report of a 32-year-old adult male who had been struck in the head with a hammer on Monroe Street in Red Bluff just before 6:30 p.m.

At the time the victim was unable to provide a detailed statement to officers, but gave a general statement that he had been assaulted somewhere on Monroe Street in Red Bluff.

Hamilton was booked into Tehama County Jail.
