Red Bluff has become the latest North State city to implement mandatory water conservation measures.

For the most part Red Bluff's new rules mirror the water saving rules put in place by the state earlier this year, but now Red Bluff residents can only water landscaping on certain days of the week. In addition to the landscaping restrictions, restaurants can only offer water to customers upon request.

Two weeks ago, the city of Redding enacted its phase two drought emergency measures which also aim to meet the state mandate of cutting use by 20 percent.
