Its been over a month and half since two storms tore through Tehama County, flooding several homes and businesses. One red bluff business owner is finally able to reopen.
"2 Buds BBQ" moved down Antelope Boulevard after the original location flooded early last month. Owner Steve Joiner says being closed the last month and half has set him back roughly $12,000. He says the last month has been difficult, but opening his doors again made it all worth it.
"The day after we reopened, that Wednesday afternoon, all these people came back and it lifted a weight off my shoulders it was a great feeling."
After being open for nearly a week, Joiner says he is seeing a 20% increase in business at the new location. Customers, employees, and Joiner are all happy to see the open sign again at "2 Buds BBQ".
The two December floods effected hundreds in Tehema County forcing the county to declare a State of Emergency. The Office of Emergency Services says 72 people qualified for small business loans following the storms.
