Friday turned out to be a very warm day around the North State, with a few record high temperatures for us. Expect similar warmth this weekend, before changes arrive next week.
High pressure and a light north breeze combined to send Valley highs into the 70's and 80's on Friday... Some of our warmest weather this year. The warmest Valley location was Redding, which hit 83. Red Bluff wasn't far behind at 82... and with high pressure holding firm, we can expect more warmth through the weekend.
High pressure will weaken next week however, and a small storm will try to bring us some rain around Wednesday. It doesn't look like a very potent storm, so any rain would be fairly light... if anything at all. Temperatures will cool down some with the arrival of this storm.
It's starting to look like high pressure will return again for the following weekend... along with warmer weather.
