Computer users are being warned about a new virus called "Ransom Ware".
It literally "kidnaps" your files and holds them for ransom unless you pay the sender cash.
And it can't be detected by most virus protection software that's on the market ... so if you get it, you're in trouble.
One victim who refused to pay the $300 ransom went to two computer repair companies, and in the end it cost more than the ransom. Ninety percent of the files on her computer were corrupted.
The experts say the virus usually comes in the form of an email attachment, often in a zip file, that people open up to look at.
they also say that ultimately your only protection from this nasty virus is having back ups ... of everything.###
