Thursday was a cloudy day around the North State. Friday looks to be a wet day!
A nice plume of moisture is currently pointed at the west coast, with clouds over us and rain moving into the Pacific Northwest. Upper level low pressure will push the rain southward into northern California through the day Friday, although some areas may be dry initially. This storm isn't especially cold, so snow levels should be near 4500'. We'll see a breezy south wind about 10 to 25 mph in the Valley... not as strong as the last few windy ones.
We'll get a break in the rain Saturday, but it won't last long. A powerful Pacific jet stream will run right into northern California by late Sunday, bringing more rain our way! The rain doesn't look to ever get especially heavy, but it should be persistent. Another break is possible Wednesday, then more light rain Thursday!
No big storms on the horizon, but plenty of small to medium sized ones. They'll all start adding up later next week!
