It was a nice way to start off our week, and we'll see more comfortable weather tomorrow. Rain moves in Wednesday night, followed by the hot weather returning by this weekend!
Enough residual moisture remained over the North State from this weekend's rain that we saw a few showers develop in the mountains this afternoon. We enjoyed dry weather in the Valley with nice temperatures. We'll cool a little over the next couple of days, but otherwise, no major changes are coming through Wednesday.
A storm from the Pacific will sweep through Wednesday night, bringing rain for everyone then. The Valley can expect between 1/10" and 1/4" of rain, which will turn to just a few scattered showers by Thursday. There will be snow in the mountains above 5000', so bring your chains if you're going to the Sierra early Thursday.
High pressure will return quickly after that, and so will the sunshine. Warm weather will be back by this weekend, with the Valley reaching the 80's by Saturday, and soaring to near 90 by Sunday!
