It was a warm day around the North State today, and tomorrow looks almost as warm! It'll be back to reality after that however, as a winter storm will bring us rain later this week.
High pressure kept us sunny and warm today, with Valley highs near 80. Redding, Red Bluff and Marysville all tied or broke record highs today! High pressure will remain strong tomorrow, so our highs won't change much... expect another very warm (for February) day.
Big changes come after that. High pressure will collapse, and a cool Pacific storm will surge into the North State. Wednesday will see clouds thicken at first, with rain moving in later in the day. Look for steady rain Wednesday night and Thursday morning, then it will turn into off-and-on showers later Thursday. Another somewhat weaker storm will move in on Friday, keeping the unsettled weather going! Snow levels will start high on Wednesday, but drop to near 5000' by Thursday and Friday. South winds will get blustery... look for 30 to 40 mph gusts Wednesday through Friday. The Valley should get between 1/2" and 1" of rain between Wednesday and Friday. Wet & windy!
Skies will clear through the day Saturday, and we'll be back close to 70 in the Valley by Sunday & Monday.
