The sun returned today, but clouds will be back tomorrow. A moderate storm will bring rain everywhere on Thursday!
A weak storm is moving into northern California Tuesday night, but most of the rain from it will stay in the mountains. The exception will be Redding, where they could pick up .05" of rain or so Wednesday.
A much stronger storm will arrive Thursday, with both Valley rain and wind. Rain amounts will range from around 1/3" in Marysville to about 3/4" of rain for Redding! Chico & Oroville should see around 1/2", with most of that falling in the afternoon & early evening Thursday. As low pressure approaches the coastline, that will kick up gusty south winds. Look for 35 to 40 mph gusts!
The rain and wind subside Thursday night, and both Friday and Saturday look dry. A weaker storm will bring showers back Sunday and Monday. Models are bringing another storm in after that next week as well.
