Nice weather around the North State today, but rain is coming Wednesday night. After that, it'll be a quick turnaround to some serious heat by this weekend!
Temperatures cooled a bit today, but overall it was still nice. A few showers developed in the mountains this afternoon, and some even made their way into the north end of the Valley, north of Red Bluff. Those will dissipate this evening, but a few mountain showers are possible again tomorrow afternoon.
A storm will move through the North State Wednesday night, bringing widespread rain for everyone. It's not a big storm, but we can expect between 1/10" to 1/4" of rain in the Valley. That will quickly turn to just a few scattered showers on Thursday.
The sunshine will return on Friday, but it will be windy. North winds will gust 25 to 35 mph, so watch out allergy sufferers! Those winds will diminish by Friday night.
The heat is on this upcoming weekend... look for Valley highs to soar into the middle and upper 80's! We'll cool back down a little next week.
