Quentin Bealer, the man accused of killing 14-year-old Marysa Nichols was back in court today, but no decision on a venue change was made.
Bealer’s attorney is seeking a change of venue, because he feels his client cannot receive a fair trial in Tehama County.
In court today a date was set for another hearing in May, and a decision about a venue change will not be made until at least June.
Nichols’ body was found in a creek near Red Bluff High School more than a year ago. Bealer, who initially turned himself in after being convinced to do so by peers, was charged with Nichols’ murder in March 2013.
