Tehama County Public Works Crews have repaired a berm that broke on Butler Slough, and contributed to the massive flooding between Red Bluff and Dairyville two weeks ago.
County supervisors approved the temporary repair, on a private property located off of Cone Grove Road and Highway 99. A helicopter was brought in to carry sandbags onto the property where antelope creek flows.
Officials say the work will be ongoing throughout the rainy season, until a long term solution is determined to prevent future flooding.
