For the second Saturday in a row, about a dozen protesters gathered in Paradise to call for the firing of a local police officer.

Protesters chanted and expressed outrage over Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey’s decision not to file charges against Paradise Police Officer Patrick Feaster, who shot a suspected drunken driver in the neck on Thanksgiving after a rollover crash.

Thomas passed away at Enloe Medical Center on Saturday night.

Feaster is on administrative leave, pending an internal investigation.
