P-V is coming off a 10-3 season which saw them advance all the way to the Northern Section Division-II title game before falling to Enterprise.

The Vikings could be even better this season.

Head Coach Mark Cooley says they're experienced with six starters returning on offense and six starters coming back on defense.

The incoming junior class should provide a nice boost as well. They went 10-0 last year as JV's.

Overall they're loaded with talent and not only are they hoping to get back to the postseason, but this time around they have their sights set on winning it all. Last year's championship loss still stings.

"I still feel it. I still think about it, it's something I hate, but it's good because we have another chance this year and we're going to do our best to not let that slip through our fingers and make the most of it," said Ethan Nash, running back and linebacker.

"We're a very talented team but that doesn't win you championships. You have to come out and get team chemistry and work hard, prepare and everyone has to be on the same page," says Brandt Hughes, quarterback.

Head coach Mark Cooley adds, "When you have a team like this the kids are excited about being out here. The junior group coming up has been successful the whole time, but the biggest thing is keeping yourself level-headed. We just haven't quite been able to get over that hump and I think they're excited to try and get that accomplished this year. It's Friday night lights baby and we're ready to rock!"
