This is it! Today is the very last day, in fact, the last hours for someone to come forward and claim a $465,539 Powerball prize.
Nearly six months ago, the man pictured purchased a Powerball ticket that matched five of six numbers. However, he still hasn’t claimed his prize. Today marks the 180th day – the last day the ticket is available to be claimed. Tomorrow, the prize will be added to the quarterly prize amount to be transferred to California’s public schools.
The draw occurred on May 22, and the winning ticket was sold at Whitley Heights Market, which is located at 1900 North Highland Avenue in Los Angeles. The ticket successfully matched the numbers 31-35-41-9-57, missing only the Powerball number of 26.
The California Lottery reminds winners to sign the back of their tickets, keep tickets in a safe place and visit their local Lottery District Office as soon as possible. Winners have 180 days from the date of the draw to claim prizes.
