Power Restored to 1,500 Customers in Chico After Outage

(UPDATE) 2:37 p.m.- PG&E Spokesman Paul Moreno stated power has been restored to all Chico customers after tree branches fell onto power lines at the 1200 block of Vallambrosa this afternoon. PG&E's website indicates 137 customers in Durham remain without power.

PG&E has reported a power outage on Vallombrosa Avenue in Chico is currently affecting 1,500 customers.

According to PG&E’s website, the outage occurred just before 1 p.m. this afternoon. PG&E Spokesman Paul Moreno said an additional 275 customers south of Durham are also without power, but power to Chico customers should be restored soon. Areas affected include portions of East Ave. Palmetto, and Ceanothus.

Moreno stated the cause of the outage is still being investigated.
