Power Outage Affects 6,000 in South Chico

PG&E Spokesman Paul Moreno confirmed with Action News Now the Power outage started at 12:09 p.m. and power was restored around 12:19 p.m. The outage affected around 6,000 customers and was centered around the East 20th and Forrest Ave area in south Chico. Restaurants, businesses and and retail stores were notably affected, as viewers reported outages at Togo's, Target, Kohl's and other businesses and residences within the area. Moreno stated the exact cause of the outage is still being investigated, but he noted a problem at one of their sub stations which corrected itself.
