Police: Two arrested in early morning murder in downtown Chico

Chico Police say two people have been arrested and are expected to be charged with murder after they say an arguement broke out between the suspects and the victim. Investigators say Stephanie Vogel, 23, and Joshua Epstein, 30, both transients, were arrested Sunday, after witnesses reported seeing a violent fight involving several weapons break out in front of 7-11 at 101 Main Street just before 12:30am Sunday. According to police, Vogel was spotted picked up less than a block away a short time after the alleged fight. Epstein was located and arrested at E. 1st Avenue and Mangrove Avenue around 8:00am Sunday. Both are expected to be charged with murder. The victim, whose name has not been released, is male, and suffered several stab wounds to the torso and head, according to investigators.
