Police say at 1:15 a.m. 27 year old Timothy Lindsay was hit by a car driven by 18 year old Devin Beuoy ... both are from Redding.
In happened in the southbound lanes of Victor Avenue near Hartnell Avenue.
Investigators say Lindsay was at fault ... as he and some friends had been drinking at a local bar, and crossed the road outside the cross walk ... and when oncoming traffic had a green light.

Meanwhile, Authorities say Beuoy admitted to smoking marijuana and was found to be under the influence and unable to safely drive.
He was booked into the Shasta County Jail for misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs and felony possession of concentrated cannabis. Because the preliminary investigation indicated Lindsay was at fault for the collision, Beuoy was not charged with driving under the influence and causing injury.
Another pedestrian with Lindsay, 22 year old Miles Pollard of Anderson, was allegedly disruptive at the scene and was arrested for public intoxication.###
