Redding police say at least four armed men posed as DEA agents and entered a Redding hydroponics store, where they stole equipment used to grow marijuana.

Redding police were called to Bare Roots on East Cypress Street just after 6:30 p.m. Monday. Upon arrival they learned four men had just stormed the business dressed as DEA agents and ordered everyone inside to the ground.

The robbers proceeded to grab cash and a handful of materials used to grow marijuana.

The four men have been described as either black or Hispanic, ranging in age from 20 to 40. Police say they fled in a green van, possibly a Nissan Quest with Oregon license plates.

One of the robbery victims was assaulted and suffered facial injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Redding Police Department at 530-225-4214.
