Police: Man hit by car, another stabbed during Corning bar fight

Corning police say one man was run over and another was stabbed during a weekend brawl at a local bar.

The fight happened around 2:15 a.m. Sunday at the High 5 Roadhouse on Highway 99 W, at South Avenue.

The fight involved a group of men and happened in the street. Police say one of the men was intentionally struck by a car as it sped from the scene, and several men were using baseball bats break the car’s windows.

The man struck by the car was taken to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.

Police located the car in Orland a short time later and found the driver suffering from a stab wound to the stomach.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Corning Police Department.
