A 31-year-old Paradise man has died from a gunshot wound suffered during a home invasion robbery Monday night.

Paradise police responded to reports of gunshots from a home in the 6400 block of Lucky John Road a little before 10:30 p.m. When they arrived they found Adam Jerome Wrangham with a gunshot wound to the chest.

Wrangham was taken to Enloe Medical Center for emergency surgery, but died early Tuesday morning.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates three men forced their way into the home to rob Wrangham. Lt. Steve Rowe says there was a large amount of marijuana at the house, but it’s unknown if that was a motive.

The three robbers remain at large, and no description is available at this time.

Anyone who spotted suspicious activity in the area on Monday night is asked to call the Paradise Police Department at 530-872-6241.
