HAYWARD, Calif. (AP) - A San Jose woman reported missing a week ago has become the focus of a homicide investigation after being found dead.

Hayward police Sgt. Ryan Cantrell said the body of 22-year-old Stacey Aguilar was found Saturday.

She was last seen leaving a party in Hayward in the early hours of Feb. 14.

Cantrell said detectives believe Aguilar was a victim of a homicide.

Police did not say where her body was found.

An autopsy to determine the cause of her death will be conducted by the Alameda County Coroner's Bureau.

Police planned to hold a news conference Tuesday to discuss the investigation.
