A suspect attempted to rob a fast food restaurant in Paradise Friday.

Police say the suspect entered the Jack in the Box at 6729 Skyway around 5:54 p.m. The suspect stood in line and, when reaching the counter, handed the server a demand note.

After a brief encounter with the server and a manager, the suspect fled on foot.

Paradise Police Sgt. Rob Nichols said there were an estimated five to 10 customers and six to eight employees in the restaurant at the time. The robbery attempt was unsuccessful and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is described at a white male, six-feet-tall with a slender build. The suspect was last seen wearing a black zippered sweat jacket, black pants and goggles.
