COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) - Police say a 95-year-old motorist struck a 92-year-old man walking across the street Costa Mesa.
Costa Mesa police Lt. Greg Scott said Robert Tidd was driving in a 1993 Oldsmobile when the front end of his car struck the pedestrian at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
Scott says the man was being treated for major head trauma at a nearby hospital. His name was not released.
Scott says the man was not within a designated crosswalk area.
Officials were investigating and said Tidd was being cooperative.
Police told City News Service that Tidd showed no signs of impairment during questioning.
