Pleasant Valley HIgh School theater students are gearing up for next week's production of "Eurydice".

It's a play by Sarah Ruhl which modernizes the myth of Orpheus from the perspective of Eurydice, his wife. After being tempted away from Orpheus, Eurydice is faced with making the choice of returning to Earth with Orpheus or staying in Hades with her father. This story has all of the elements of the old myth, including a Greek chorus of sorts, but with new twists and turns to take us along on the journey of eurydice's loss of Innocence.

Adriana Long plays the role of Eurydice and Aaren Starr is Orpheus, Jacob Whitmore is the father. They visited the Action News Now at Noon set to promote the play, along with actress Mia Coleman Friday. There are a total of just seven actors in the entire play, which is Directed by Sarah Jensen.

Tickets are $8. The performances run November 19th through 21st at the Center for the Arts on the PVHS campus. The doors open at 7 p.m., the show starts at 7:30 p.m.
