The Red Bluff Peace Officers Association is gaining support in it's effort to oust Police Chief Paul Nanfito.

The Tehama County Deputy Sheriffs' Association shared a letter with Action News Now that states their support for the POA. The letter lists several reasons why the DSA thinks Chief Nanfito has tarnished the image of the Red Bluff Police Department.

Red Bluff Mayor Clay Parker says the DSA will now be a part of the investigation into Nanfito that started last month.

"Just more people putting their input in so what will happen is the investigator I am sure will have to contact somebody at the Deputy Sheriffs Association to find out what is fact and what is not fact." says Red Bluff Mayor Clay Parker.

Parker was unable to comment on the the status of the investigation, but once it is complete the city manager and councilmembers will decide what will happen with Police Chief Nanfito.
