Pedestrian struck, killed by suspected DUI driver in Red Bluff

A woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI Tuesday morning after she allegedly struck and killed a pedestrian around 10:30 a.m. in Red Bluff.

Police say the driver of 1993 Honda Accord was traveling eastbound on Antelope Boulevard when she swerved off the road, onto the curb and hit a man and woman who were standing on the sidewalk.

The female victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the male victim was transported to St. Elizabeth's Hospital with a leg injury.

The driver was arrested and booked into the Tehama County Jail for driving under the influence, vehicular manslaughter, and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
