PASADENA, Calif. (AP) - Authorities say a patient died and three others injured when an ambulance and a car collided head-on in Pasadena
Police Lt. Jesse Carrillo says a man in his 70s was being taken to the hospital for a non-emergency medical appointment when the private ambulance collided with a Jaguar sedan Saturday afternoon.
The man was taken from the crash site to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Carrillo says the ambulance driver and his passenger were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The driver of the Jaguar was taken to a hospital and may have sustained a broken ankle.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
