Patchy fog has developed in several areas of the valley this morning, and that is limiting visibility on north state roadways. Some areas have reported visibility down to 1/4 mile. Partly to mostly cloudy skies, and light winds will be ahead for the region for the rest of the day. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 30's to low 40's in the valley, and in the low 20's to mid 30's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will be close to, if not slightly warmer than yesterday. Valley areas will be in the low to mid 50's this afternoon, and mountain areas will climb back into the mid 30's to mid 40's.
Showers will return to the Coastal Range, and Northern Mountains tonight, before spreading across the entire region tomorrow. That system is expected to be colder than the last, and will leave snow levels down to around 3000'. Wet weather will then exit the region on Saturday night, and dry conditions will be ahead for Sunday. Another round of wet weather will arrive in the region on Monday. Several wet systems will be possible across the north state next week. I hope everyone stays safe on the foggy roads this morning, has a fantastic Friday, and a wonderful weekend!
