A defendant charged in the shooting death of a 21-year-old man at Alta Mesa Park in Redding has taken a plea deal.

Logan Barhar pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter in exchange for a six-year prison sentence. Barhar's co-defendant Dillon Sims took a similar plea deal three weeks ago. Both men will be sentenced on February 27.

The last remaining defendant in the case is Raquan Matthews.

Prosecutors say Matthews fatally shot Thomas Sladek in a botched drug transaction in January 2014.
