Paradise Relay for Life Saturday and Sunday

Jun 19, 2014 3:51 PM by Linda Watkins-Bennett

The 8th annual Relay for Life comes to Paradise Saturday and Sunday, June 21st and 22nd.

The event has been moved from the Paradise High School Track to the Paradise Intermediate School Field, because the track at the high school is undergoing heavy construction to replace sod.

Paradise Intermediate is located at 5657 Recreation Drive, just off of Pearson Road.

The Relay for Life registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. The Opening Ceremony and Survivor Lap will start at 10 a.m.

The Relay is a way for the Paradise community as a whole to fight back against cancer, by raising money for the American Cancer Society.

Teams will camp out at the track, sell food, play games, and enjoy local entertainment ... with at least one team member walking the track at any given time during the 24 hour Relay. The Luminaria Ceremony to remember loved ones lost to cancer will take place Saturday evening at 9 p.m.
