A Paradise man wanted for a probation violation was able to elude officers after they attempted to pull him over Sunday, only to turn himself in two hours later.

A Paradise Police officer saw a motorcycle being driven by Aaron Freer, whom the officer recognized from prior contacts, and knew his license was suspended. The officer attempted to stop Freer, but he led the officer on a pursuit on eastbound Bille Road to northbound Berkshire Road, when the pursuit reached the Berkshire Avenue and Diamond Avenue Freer ditched the motorcycle and escaped on foot.

Nearly two hours after escaping, Freer contacted the Paradise Police Department and surrendered at his home without further incident.

He was booked into the Butte County Jail for felony evading, felony violation of probation, and driving on a suspended license.
