North State residents can now enjoy Paradise Lake year-round.
The lake, which has previously been closed during the winter months, will open year-round following a vote by Paradise Irrigation District board members.
While the lake's availability has changed, rates have not. Daily use parking is $3 daily boating is $10 (parking included) with $5 for an additional single-occupancy vessel.
Paradise Lake is open from 5 a.m. to sunset every day but Wednesday. The lake will close this year on April 13 to stock fish and prepare for Kids Fishing Day on April 18.
Paradise Lake, when full, includes 244 surface acres, providing storage for the PID's water before it is treated for customers' use. While the lake's primary use is storage, it also provides recreation for ridge residents, with restrictions to preserve the water's quality.
