A town far too familiar with fire damage is lending a helping hand to the victims of the Boles Fire in Weed. A group of Paradise residents is asking the public to fill a trailer with donations for victims who are left of nothing.

The organizers say they remember the help they received from Weed during the 2008 Humboldt Fire when two Weed volunteer unites were sent to Paradise.

"I think that resonates really strongly with people here in Paradise with loss from fires. When a lot of us saw what happened in Weed we saw that town wiped out. " says drive organizer Mike Zuccolillo.

Now people from the community want to return the favor in gathering as many donations as possible.

"A group of friends of mine and other people in the community thought the right thing to do was to get a collection going, and people of Paradise have been bringing things by the truck load."

The goal to fill up a trailer with as many donations as possible. Organizers say they will at 6400 Skyway in Paradise from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday and Sunday filling up the trailer.
