Chico's beloved Pageant Theater will survive. They've reached their fundraising goal of $51,000.
That's the cost of a new digital projector, to keep up with Hollywood standards.
Pageant hit that goal in a month, and three weeks before the end of their "Indiegogo" fundraiser.
Any additional money raised will go towards new seats, and maybe a new sound system.
“I just want to thank the Chico community for stepping up big time,” Pageant Owner Tim Guista said. “It's nice to know the support is out there. You think it is, but you don't know until people respond.”
To buy tickets for Wednesday's fundraiser concert with Jonathan Richman, you can stop by Pageant or Duffy's bar downtown.
